Products with active ingredients such as SPF or salicylic acid will have an expiration date listed, all other products will not. The label on these Cover FX products will note the expiration year and month. For example, a label that has EXP. 20 Aug means that the product expires in August 2020. Other products will have a ‘period after opening’ icon — a small container with either 12M or 24M written inside it. This means once opened, the product is good for 12 months or 24 months.
When products like the Total Cover Cream Foundation are exposed to prolonged warm temperatures, some emollients within the product will come to the surface. As the product cools, the emollients reabsorb into the product. This is normal and does not cause the product any damage unless it gets so warm that product melts off the pan.
Glazing occurs primarily in pressed powder products when the applicator deposits oils or emollients from the skin or moisturizers back onto the pan. The excess oil is absorbed into the powder and creates a harder surface. Glazing is minimal with normal use. It is not advisable to use a brush or sponge, which can contain leftover creams or emollients from prior use with product, with this product.
The Natrafil fibres in the Powder Brush are tinted black to create a uniform look (this is also standard practice with natural hair fibers, especially goat hair). The residual color will darken rinse water during the first few wash cycles of the brush. This is expected and is normal and does not affect the quality of the brush in any way.

Yes, we use finely milled mica as a clean alternative to talc in many of our powder products. We also use it in our luminous finish products to impart a radiant shimmer.
Our ingredient suppliers have confirmed that the mica we use is ethically sourced without the use of child labor. Cover FX cares sincerely about this issue and is committed to transparency in all that we do. We are strongly against unethical sourcing and child labor of any kind.
