Wanda has broad international experience as a Professional Makeup Artist. Her retail experience includes makeup artistry for Creeds, Holt Renfrew and M.A.C. Cosmetics. Wanda also gained valuable runway experience in major international fashion shows highlighting the collections of Valentino, Krizia, and Sonia Rykiel, and providing makeup services to other major runway events, such as Fashion Cares. She served as part of the M.A.C makeup team as makeup artist for Milan Fashion Week, featuring the designs of Alessandro Dell’Aqua, D Squared (Dean & Dan). Working with Italian media and celebrities, Wanda has also extended her makeup expertise to print, television and video media.
Wanda was awarded the role of Training and Operations Manager for the M.A.C. brand in Milan, Italy, where she spearheaded the Italian launch of M.A.C.’s Via Della Spiga location.
In 2002, Wanda accepted the position of Training Director at Cover FX Skin Care Inc. where she was responsible for dev eloping the training curriculum and training materials.
In her current role as International Communications Director, Wanda is responsible for directing all COVER FX press offices in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Wanda also heads PRO FX where she works closely with global makeup artists who are using COVER FX products on models and celebrities in print, runway and film and trains them on the art of being a Foundation Artist. She also works with PRO retail stores where she ensures they have specific products and programs created to meet the makeup artists’ needs.
Wanda is also responsible for the COVER FX business in the United Kingdom and Ireland where she is responsible for hiring and training staff, presenting marketing programs to the buying office and being available for press events. Wanda sees the UK as an ideal platform for fashion-forward trends and therefore provides great inspiration for creating and designing complexion trends which she develops for Spring and Fall.
Wanda proclaims to be a self-taught makeup artist and received private makeup artistry training in Los Angeles but credits her father who was an artist to be her creative inspiration.
Cover FX
COVER FX was created in 2000 by Lee Graff and Jenny Frankel in Toronto, Canada. As a Camouflage Specialist, Lee Graff worked with patients in the dermatology department at Toronto’s Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre who were being medically treated yet left with mild to major skin imperfections helping patients overcome the physical and psychological impact of chronic skin disorders such as, Rosacea, Melasma, Vitiligo, birth marks and scars through the use of corrective makeup. These patients had diverse coverage needs, ethnic backgrounds and skin sensitivities thus requiring a highly specialized line of corrective make-up. With the forward thinking mind and expertise of co-creator Jenny Frankel, a highly skilled chemical engineer and on medical advice from Chief of Dermatology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Dr. Neil Shear, Lee and Jenny created COVER FX, a line of corrective cosmetics with therapeutic benefits to the skin.
Fast forward to the present and COVER FX can be found throughout Canada, the United States, United Kingdom and India in over 700 department stores, pharmacies, medical spas and specialty stores. In addition, these products are now used in Hollywood by professional makeup artists, to cover Angelina Jolie’s tattoos as well as creating flawless skin for celebrities like Madonna, Cate Blanchett and Nelly Furtado to name a few.
From across Canada and the US and across the pond to the UK, this Canadian cosmetic duo is determined to continue to grow their business in the world market!

I only discovered your makeup 1 year ago and it has changed my life. A trite phrase sometimes but in my case severe radiation damage to my face left me ‘hiding’ from photos and everyone in general. Struggles with a changing skin, age related fading and dryness is all gone thanks to this wonderful product. I have introduced this to my 87 year old mother and she looks great. Thank you so very much, when I get compliments about my skin and how I don’t look my age, I generally reply I don’t use make-up just moisturizer and the magic of FX.

What should you match your foundation to? My arms are fairly dark (suntanned), my chest is lighter and my face is the lightest? If I match my foundation to my face I look so pale compared to the rest of my body. Please advise.

Hi Sherri,
You should match your foundation to your the skin colour on your face and neck. If your neck is darker than your face you can either choose a darker shade foundation or apply a tinted moisturizer (like SkinTint FX) first. After that apply the foundation texture that works best only where you need extra coverage. Finally, if you like to look bronzed apply Radiant FX in Golden Bronze on the high points of your face (forehead, nose, cheeks and chin). This is great on your chest and legs too. I’m a Licensed Aesthetician and manager of a Medical Spa in Missouri. I’ve been searching for a training course in Camouflage Make-up for almost 2 years, and they’re very difficult to find! I want a “serious” training course, not simply a chance for a company to sell me their products. CoverFX is considered the best in the business, and I’ve heard that Lee Graff does training. What can you tell me about training opportunities for professionals through your company? I’m willing to go anywhere, do anything to learn the art of camouflage!!

Your career is an inspiration to me! I have been a self taught make-up artist for over 12 years. While living and working in Ireland for the year of 2008 I studied make-up artistry in Cork City.
I have a Marketing and Business Admin. Background and look forward to building a strong career within the make-up industry. I have mainly stayed in sales however I am a commercial insurance underwriter now (Just until I can stand on my feet as a make-up artist/ corporate sales representative)
